Paper Record Player

Paper Record Player is an educational toy made out of paper designed to demonstrate possibilties of circuit-building in a playful manner. In addition to interactive paper modules like a volume wheel, on/off button, and a wheel to turn the record itself, Paper Record Player plays a song from a Microbit microcontroller when the needle is moved to the record.

Users are invited to look at the inner workings of the toy to see how the circuit works, and to see that circuits can be made using household materials like cardstock, tape, aluminum foil, and metal paper fasteners.

MATERIALS

Cardstock, fabric glue, 1 Microbit, masking tape, 1 metal paper fastener, copper tape, and 2 alligator clips
