ITP Camp Quilt

A collaborative quilt I organized and constructed during ITP Camp 2023.

The ITP Camp Quilt is made up of 56 individual squares, each made by a different 2023 ITP Camp attendee in their own style. With the only constraints given to campers being the size of the square to make, the result is a collaborative, unique piece of art that highlights the diversity of artistic and practical styles of ITP Camp attendees.

MATERIALS

felt, pom poms, plywood, lace, yarn, cardboard, mesh, acrylic, metal jump rings, copper wire, grommets, foam sheets, embroidery thread, wire headphones, fabrics, markers, pencils, pens, sequins, ribbon, pony beads, plastic bags, discarded 3D print pieces, feathers, rubber, wire, 1 sock, 1 speaker, and 1 broken Arduino ethernet shield.

After all of of the squares were done, I added grommets to the corners of each one and then joined them together using wire, ribbon, and yarn.

I showed this project at the ITP Camp “Show All Things” event. Next to it, I played a slideshow of photos of the campers holding the squares they made.

Thanks to all of the ITP Campers who contributed to the quilt!
